Currently, I’m a Product Marketing Manager working for GoDaddy on the GoDaddy Pro program.
It is a free program for web designers, developers and WordPress experts that helps them build and manage multiple websites for their clients. I’m working directly with ManageWP and Pro Sites teams, that are focused on tools for managing multiple WordPress websites.
I’ve been around WordPress for some time, but I got more active in the Community once I joined ManageWP team almost 2 years ago. Kinda got ‚infected‘ with Milans enthusiasm for Community. Most of the team at ManageWP at that time were lead organizers for WordPress in Serbia.
Since then, I’ve been somewhat active in the local community. Speaking in few local Meetups and conferences. Generally spreading knowledge I acquired during my career with local WordPressers and students in Belgrade, Zrenjanin & Novi Sad (all in Serbia).
I got pretty excited about it all once I saw that my humble knowledge can really help young students, designers and developers expand their knowledge and help them choose a path for their further development. In fact, some of the folks that were attending the talks last year, launched their own small web design companies centered around WordPress and I’m super-psyched about their success.
You can say I’m pretty passionate about digital transformation and helping my community to get on that path. I see it as a way of modernizing and expanding your view and your reach, where the possibilities are simply endless.
What does WordPress and WordCamp mean for you?
‚Freedom‘ is the most singular word that I would use to describe how I see WordPress. The freedom to have your voice and place in the digital world. And I see the WordCamps as a way to connect to similar minded people, to gather and share knowledge and to push WordPress even further, because I see it as the future of the Web with it’s openness and community behind it.
How did you get to WordPress and how do you use it?
I’ve been lightly using WordPress for almost a decade. Mostly for some small personal websites for friends and family. But I’ve become active in the Community only in the last year or two. I got introduced to it by my colleagues at ManageWP and since then I’ve been strong supporter if not enthusiastic advocate about using WordPress. Now, it’s at the same time my career path and personal quest. I basically use to offer solutions to numerous local problems. For instance, I’ve been pushing the idea about the series of local Hakatons that will focus on solving some local issue by making the website and a solution on top of the WordPress.
Why did you choose the subject (topic) you are about to talk about (How to make the most of your website with Google Analytics) ?
During my career in digital marketing and analytics, i noticed that a lot of web developers and small business owners do not understand how the analytics can help them improve their business.
What do you teach us / say on your lecture?
In short, I go over the main GA dashboard elements by explaining their value through practical examples (from years of experience) as opposite to just saying what they do.
If you have a special point to the conclusion, here with him 🙂
This is just another tool helping you reach your destination.
For the end, I want to thank you for the opportunity to speak and inviting me to Bratislava.
Looking forward meeting everyone and exchanging ideas.
